I optimized for money and I regretted it

In March 2020, I optimized for money instead of opportunity and I regretted it. I chose to stay at Apple at the time because Facebook (now Meta) couldn't match my unvested stocks at Apple. I hated myself for it.

It's kind of funny because I thought I was optimizing for money by staying at Apple, but in the end I would have made more if I had gone to Meta.

Instead, I went to Humane and had tons of fun. I've learned the way you look at things is different depending on the time horizon.
